I found it partially hidden. I thought at first it was a bit of amber sea glass. It wasn't, but the consolation was what a clever visual joke it makes.
I like to photograph finds at the beach rather than take each one home. It saves space and leaves the treasures (most of them, anyway) for other beachcombers to discover.
