Groyne

This is one of the concrete groynes (yes, they're really called that) which hold in check the eastward shingle drift. We're looking directly south to France. "Will you, won't you, will you, won't you, will you join the dance? The farther away from England, the nearer it is to France." (Alice in Wonderland).
